Tour guide Steve Clarke is visible facing the camera just to the left of the main monument. Bill Brewer is also visible in the photo, as are Brent Downing and Bob Coomber on the far right. Two or three members of the Towpath Volunteers can be seen. SAR prospective member Dave Austin was also in period attire and holding the Betsey Ross flag.

August 6, 2013 a Patriot Camp for children was held at Kings Bend Park in Pittsford, NY. Following a short participative lecture on the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the children (ages 5 - 11) put on clear transparent shower caps. Then in groups of three (because the event organizers only had three powdered wigs), children were allowed to wear a powdered wig and a tricorn hat while they "officially signed" a copy of the Declaration with a red quill pen. About 60 children took park, and the event got a Section B, front-page photo and article on Tuesday morning in the D & C.
